I’m not remotely interested or knowledgeable in the topics discussed but goddammit if this isn’t the best podcast out there. 6/5 stars
I have never enjoyed a podcast as much as I have enjoyed watching almost every episode of this. I came over from Amazon Music so i don’t know which ones I haven’t watched so I’m going through all of them start to finish again because that’s how much I enjoy these, incredibly entertaining and I have supported their merch. Great guys keep up the great entertainment!
This podcast is better than ghouls, or like, better than if you boiled anchovies in cake batter. Thank.

Tried listening to two episodes. On both occasions they had not even discussed the game in question after 25 minutes. There were also several occasions where one of the hosts gets very loud out of nowhere, meaning it was uncomfortable to listen to this podcast with headphones.
Really didn’t have a good experience. Won’t be listening to further episodes.

A duo of midlife gamers explore storytelling in both classic and modern video games, often blending sharp critique with nostalgic banter. Episodes cover narrative design, character motivation, world-building, and how adaptations and cross-media tie-ins reshape what players experience. The show frequently dives into genre history, branding within games, and wide-ranging pop culture references, making it a personable, opinionated take on how stories in games unfold and endure. A notable pattern is the mix of thoughtful analysis with humor, anecdotal memories, and occasional forays into related media like films and branding in games, which gives it broad appeal to storytelling fans and retro-game enthusiasts alike.
