  • Culture of hate

I’ve done my best to be forgiving and ignore the obvious hatred and demeaning comments towards Christian’s on this network of podcasts but openly calling Christian’s bigots on a baseball podcast is crossing the line. Nick and pitcher list likes to think they are inclusive and loving but they have actually just fostered a culture of hate out into the fantasy baseball community. Was hoping this company and collection of podcasts would truly be a great source of baseball information without the hat... more

  • Stick to Fantasy Sports

Carson Picard made some downright silly statements today on the Daily News and Notes Podcast about the A’s and Giants game. Will be sure to skip his content from here on out,

  • Great intel but offset by terrible production

Maybe it was this episode but entire pod was filled with kids in the background; and I assume Nick ending every sentence with …”right”

  • Decent analysis but…

I could do without the disparaging remarks about Christian baseball players because of their beliefs. Mocking a player for their faith every time you talk about them by saying their outing was/wasn’t sunshine and rainbows should be beneath a person that tries to make it seem like they are so kind to everyone like Nick does. I hope to hear less hate and bigotry from Nick in the future.

  • Cubs Ignorance

The level of ignorance and stupidity on your discussion of being able to get Alcantara five starts a week is extraordinary. Congrats!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

TWF 157 - Otto-Matic
Q: Is Shane Bieber still a viable option in shallow leagues or better to pivot to other arms?
Shane Bieber is increasingly a drop in shallow formats; managers are advised to consider replacing him with up-and-coming arms like Dustin May, Logan Webb, or Matthew Boyd depending on league depth and venue.
CFT 86 - The Craft with Special Guest CC Sabathia
Q: What was the key to surviving three days rest and staying healthy in 2008?
The key was establishing a disciplined routine, pitching on a consistent rotation even with the extra rest, focusing on pitching to contact, keeping pitch counts down, and balancing recovery with a measured training rhythm.
TAA 8 - What Are Park Factors Worth? (with Sara Sanchez)
Q: How should fantasy players use park factors when evaluating players across different parks, especially given three-year versus single-year factors?
Use park factors as context rather than a sole driver; three-year factors smooth variability but may miss current changes, while single-year factors capture recent shifts; combine them with an understanding of how the park interacts with a player's batted-ball tendencies to make more informed lineup decisions.
TAA 8 - What Are Park Factors Worth? (with Sara Sanchez)
Q: To kick us off here, Kyle, what does a Park Factor actually measure and what does that number mean?
Park Factor measures how a given ballpark affects overall outcomes compared with a neutral park, often focusing on runs but extendable to homer rates and BABIP; it's used to understand whether a park inflates or suppresses certain outcomes and to guide how to adjust projections.
CFT 78 - Who Is MLB's Top Rookie SP?
Q: How important is a pitcher's handling of platoon splits and a two-sided approach for success in the majors?
They emphasize that while platoon splits matter, multiple pitches that work against both hands increase a pitcher's sustainable value, with Fuentes and Prelip cited as examples of this balance.
