Quality of content on the pitcher lists many podcasts is all over the place. The daily pitcher reports at spring training set a very high standard and Nick is always listenable but some of the other contributors and presenters sound like they’ve never done this before…. Listening to OTW241 and it’s as if English is the presenters second language - stumbling along repetitively, barely making sense at times. So much content from pitcher list and maybe 30% is good
Thank you for all the work you do, I enjoy listening to your opinions. Very happy to see you succeeding! Great podcast!
If you know, you know. Nick and the team are the best out there. This Podcast + PL Pro subscription is veryyyy worth it. Big thanks to the PL team!
Nick's litany of inside references is entertaining and he is knowledgeable, but the constant use of metaphor gets tired pretty quickly. However, the rest of the crew is very good.
A key problem is a tendency to cling to priors far longer than is practical in other than the very deepest formats. Most disappointing is the insistence on embracing and promoting controversial social issues. Sticking to baseball would serve better.
I could do without the disparaging remarks about Christian baseball players because of their beliefs. Unfortunately most of the time when Nick refers to a player as “not a good person” it’s because they are Christian and have publicly declared their faith. Hope to hear less hate from Nick in the future.
