Was he laying in an empty bathtub talking to the host through a tin can? Also, it’s “Pay-vin” Smith (baseball reference.com)

  • Most inconsistent baseball site their is

Knee jerk reactions and who knows if or when your daily podcast will drop in time to set lineups. There are knowledgeable voices hidden in this mess but I can’t imagine feeling confident enough to pay for this service, especially if playing in high stakes leagues.

  • Great listen

Love Nick and the other shows. One critique, for first pitch, can we cutout Trevor swallowing after every segment? It’s very loud haha.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

TWF 107 - "Winn"-ing Time w/ Nate Schwartz
Q: Is that middle speed swing that he's using more often in two-strike counts to get more contact, or is he really focusing more on that A swing in those two-strike counts?
I think that's kind of a new two-strike approach, and all of the other peripherals kind of reflect that as well.
TWF 107 - "Winn"-ing Time w/ Nate Schwartz
Q: How did Winn show his value both at the plate and in the field in 2024?
He had a 103 WRC plus, 15 homers and 11 stolen bases, solid numbers for a potential everyday player. His excellent defensive range keeps him in the lineup regularly.
FBB 013 - The Veen Machine Arrives: Rockies Talk with Thomas Harding
Q: Do you think Ezekiel Tovar's aggressiveness on the base paths will continue?
He plays every game, but if he wants that to be part of his game, then it’s a big deal for fantasy players.
FBB 013 - The Veen Machine Arrives: Rockies Talk with Thomas Harding
Q: What do you think is going to happen with Michael Tolia and how much of a leash do you think he has at first base right now?
He started 101 straight games at first base, and he is a gold glove type defender, but he’ll have to hit at some point.
FBB 013 - The Veen Machine Arrives: Rockies Talk with Thomas Harding
Q: Are they just going to give Veen the everyday right field job at this point?
From what has been said, they're going to give him a run in right field, maybe in left some on the road.
