  • Marconi is calling. AM forever!

Way, way down the dial - if that means anything to you, you “streamers” - wildly entertaining even if you are not an LA sports fan. Truly rare gem in this day and age of the auto industry’s attack on Am radio. Petros’ neurosis’ pairs perfectly with the wispy Matt’s over confidence.

  • Great Sports Talk!

I have been listening to PMS since it first started back in January of 2007! I was a fan of Matt from his KROQ “Kevin and Bean” days and also listened regularly to Petros when he had his own show on the old Korean station (AM 1540), so I was ecstatic when I learned they would be joining forces on AM 570. It’s been 20 years now and the show is still as funny and informative as ever, if not more. I cannot recommend PMS enough, I guarantee you will not be disappointed …

  • The Pod is not always downloadableq

IDK what the issue is but in the past month at least 2 episodes a day are simply not able to be downloaded and this is very frustrating.

The itunes feed is the only access I really have to the pod and that it is not available due to technical difficulty is frustrating and ultimately will drive me away to other shows.

    Please PLEASE fix this issue.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

I'm Horse A Monday (Hour 1) 8/31/26
Q: Do you think USC will make the playoff given the current structure and schedule?
Jones suggests multiple variables and potential losses; USC could be in contention with enough wins but faces a brutal schedule and may miss out if carnage elsewhere forces a drop in the number of playoff spots.
I'm Horse A Monday (Hour 1) 8/31/26
Q: What do you make of USC's week zero matchup and the attendance situation?
Brian Jones explains that week zero games were used as early-season tune-ups and notes attendance variances by venue and weather, while also highlighting the broader context of USC needing to demonstrate the product to fans in a crowded college football landscape.
A Frogman Friday (Hour 1) 8/28/26
Q: Dave, you were able to handle your Kenley Jansen reunion with some measure, not too much emotion. Do you think Scoobel will be able to handle pitching in Detroit?
Vassegh indicates Scoobel has shown emotional control and the ability to compartmentalize, giving Dodgers fans confidence that he can handle the Detroit start despite the pressure and past experiences.
A Crunchy Groove Thursday (Hour 1) 7/9/26
Q: Don, how much has the globalization of basketball and the influx of European players changed how you evaluate prospects?
Don explains that European players bring stronger fundamentals, and coaches emphasize skill development early on, which affects draft evaluation and the strategic thinking around NIL and player development; it's about finding the right program and opportunity to maximize NBA potential.
A Tu Hermano Tuesday (Hour 2) 8/18/26
Q: Dave, how are you? What's going on out there?
David Vassegh reports from Coors Field on the Dodgers' game, mentions the atmosphere, and shares updates on players like Otani and Emmet Sheehan, while weighing in on the Kyle Tucker storyline.
