Erik Thursson can be found on Telegraph Av. next to UC Berkeley performing and selling his poems. Listen as Erik talks about his journey, his passions and what he wishes everyone knew about what it is like to be homeless.
Freakin' awesome. Keep it up!
Glad something like this has come to Berkeley and that the homeless are given a voice
I’ve been to Berkeley several times and thought the homeless were there to cause trouble. But as it turns out, there are many smart homeless getting by on the things they enjoy. The Wandering Poet is an excellent podcast on his travels across the county and his stay in Berkeley. I highly recommend the podcast.
Cool stories and well done podcast, like that they keep it short and interesting
Well produced, incredibly impactful, and tied together with a touching narrative - this a must if you're a Berkeley resident, and still powerful otherwise.
Love hearing people’s stories and seeing the community come together!
As a Berkeley resident, I found this to be a very insightful podcast and I’m excited to listen to future postings. Great to see fresh new content on iTunes.
I can’t stop listening to this podcast. Every episode is just so wow. Incredible people. Incredible stories. Perfection.
It's so great to have a podcast like this that inspires us to have conversations with people we never would usually have conversations with. Love their fresh approach to questioning our own internalized stereotypes and looking forward to the next podcast.
Big fan of the empathetic nature of this podcast and the engaging stories I've learned about people in my community :)
Tells a story about those that so many of us tend to ignore... truly an insightful podcast.
This is the podcast that the world needs. These stories will inspire a desire for connecion between two different populations by uncovering crucial points of relatability. The episodes improve as they go on and the characters involved are interesting, inspiring, and unexpected. It is uplifting to see people are actively fighting to break stigma around the homeless population to create a better tomorrow where commnuity means looking out for everyone, even the disenfrachised.
Eye opening and captivating
This is a really cool initiative to get people's voices to be heard and a unique way to share different perspectives! Really enjoy the two stories so far and can't wait for the next one!
As a student at UC Berkeley this podcast is amazing!! Keep up the great work!!!!!
