I love Penance RPG’s take on rpgs! Clever and unique homebrew ideas, creative twists on standard adventures and systems, unpredictable players and a DM who can and will roll with the chaos come together to create a podcast that separates itself from the others by taking the familiar and making it something entirely other. I listen to several ttrpg podcasts, and Penance is always the one to take me by surprise and keep me captivated.

I've limited experience with DnD and started listening because my dearest friend is in it, but I have stayed for the fun players, clever DM (who does WONDERFUL character voices!), and laughter. It's easy to keep up with while doing things in the kitchen, and I often catch actually laughing out loud. All of the players are wonderful and thoughtful people, and they never fail to get a new episode out every week!
