Penance RPG is a homebrew style of RPG podcast created out of the belief that actual play storytelling should allow for not only free player choice for any and every decision but equal consequences to these decisions. We believe this allows for an organic style of storytelling rarely seen anywhere else whilst still retaining a deep love for fantastical tales of castles and characters. As all bard’... more

I love Penance RPG’s take on rpgs! Clever and unique homebrew ideas, creative twists on standard adventures and systems, unpredictable players and a DM who can and will roll with the chaos come together to create a podcast that separates itself from the others by taking the familiar and making it something entirely other. I listen to several ttrpg podcasts, and Penance is always the one to take me by surprise and keep me captivated.
Great stuff from these peeps, I’m glued to my phone every episode no matter what!
One of my favourite TTRPG podcasts! Always fun, creative and unpredictable!
Long time fans, first time review. We don't usually listen to RPG casts, but the storytelling and interactive play make Penance an extremely worthwhile and entertaining listen...check them out.
This is a show with creativity, heart and variety. Worth the listen/watch!
I love this podcast! I've limited experience with DnD and started listening because my dearest friend is in it, but I have stayed for the fun players, clever DM (who does WONDERFUL character voices!), and laughter. It's easy to keep up with while doing things in the kitchen, and I often catch actually laughing out loud. All of the players are wonderful and thoughtful people, and they never fail to get a new episode out every week!
A fantastic group with an extensive backlog of episodes that you should really be checking out!
One of the best UK TTRPG pods out there. Expect the unexpected!
From their own unique homebrew world and system, to their adaptations of famous adventures from other RPG systems, Penance RPG podcast is an absolute blast.
If you are looking for a new, entertaining podcast, where players' actions do have real consequences, then look no further!
Really wonderful show!!!
Love this! Super creative, and the stories are super intriguing! You’ll enjoy this!
Folks do you want to have some fun? Then check out this podcast!
Absolutely love these folks — they’re fun, funny and just as importantly an amazing part of the ttrpg community. Give them a listen, you won’t be disappointed.
Seriously, the intros of these podcasts are fantastic. And this podcast is honest. They do what they enjoy and they tell stories and engage the audience, give them a listen.
