Love her industry interviews , but she engages in way too much partisan politics . Amazing how we can’t just stick to cycling which is a topic all of her listeners download her podcast for .
I honestly wish there was someone who was capable in cycling podcast space of doing this.
As such I have no further use for this podcast
At every opportunity the host injects her politics. I’m just tired of it.
It is hard to find a solid, general interest bike podcast. I’ve learned about several large rides, tourist events, books, movies and tours thanks to Diane. Even found the right company to build my custom bike (Seven). What a wealth of knowledge from Diane - and even some racing or advocacy (which seems to dominate too many other podcasts). Thank heavens for The Outspoken Cyclist
Diane is an excellent spokesperson for the industry and educator of all things bike-related. From bike equipement, to events, trends, safety, advocacy, you name it! There is no limit to the bredth of her topics and experts. Anyone who cares about cycling for sport, recreation, or transport should tune in.

A frequently across-the-board cycling show that blends interviews with industry insiders, policymakers, authors, and event organizers to unpack riding culture, safety, advocacy, and the business of bikes. Recurring threads include policy debates on e-bikes and infrastructure, race dynamics and event logistics, and personal journeys from riders and creators that illuminate both the practical and human sides of cycling. Notable strengths include a broad guest mix, deep domain knowledge in cycling history and manufacturing, and a knack for translating complex topics—such as legislation, urban planning, and race strategy—into actionable takeaways for riders, retailers, and sponsors.
