  • Nothing like it

This podcast is my absolute favorite these days. I’ve enjoyed Philippe’s unique guests every time. It helps that I am super into history in the same ways he is, asking after folk stories and traditions, ancient rememberings and even the spooky stuff. I found this podcast while searching the feral people of the Smokey mountains. After that I’ve been hooked! I love this podcast and really respect the host and his way of doing things. I highly recommend this to my friends all the time and look forw... more

  • Inspiring, Moving, Enchanting

Where to begin? This is my favourite show, without exception- as someone across the pond, but with an interest in the folklore, folkways, and folk tunes of Appalachia (and the lands further afield the podcast journeys to), it’s always a treat to explore them alongside Phillippe as our trusty, eager, engaging guide. The tone is beautifully cosy, as if you’re gathered round the campfire on a crisp autumn evening with some of the most interesting people you’ve ever met. And inspiring, too- little d... more

  • The underlying connection between all

Man I just listened to the Snake Handler episode of your podcast and I just have to say I am loving every second of this. I only found you a few weeks ago but I was immediately enthralled. I’ve never heard anything like this that weaves in the connections between the outdoors and hunting and Alchemy and bushcrafting and Jungian theory and mysticism. It’s just the coolest thing ever, thank you for it, it’s absolutely fantastic.

    Fabulous podcasting.

I appreciate ONN’s efforts to fill the void of content that addresses the intangibles of outdoor pursuits. They are many and varied, and add richness and meaning to the outdoor life.

The consignment format allows trappers to deliver their furs, which are then graded and grouped into lots. Buyers bid on the pre-graded lots, and the trappers cannot retrieve the furs once consigned; the price is determined by bids, not by individual offers from multiple buyers.
