  • Good info, hard listen

Parker is great and actually focused on delivering a good podcast. Brandon is constantly distracted, not paying attention, repeating what Parker has already said, or talking about his screwup, prolonging it even further. Needs to put the phone and chat aside and focus.

  • Good dynamic & recruiting narrative

Been listening for a couple years. Drumm and Thune have pretty good chemistry that keeps me coming back. Took me awhile to warm up to Drumm but now I like the goofiness. This podcast excels at the recruiting info/stories, which I like.

Does it ever get old having to correct Brandon’s dumb takes and mistakes?

  • Worse OU Podcast

After listening I see why this is considered the worse of all the OU podcast. Both host obviously think they are above everyone else. The egos. LOL

  • Nonsense

These two are wanna be journalists but in reality are just message board warriors who claim they are insiders but are really just losers who will say anything and do anything to make a buck. They think they are TxAgs which is a problem in itself and can’t handle ANYTHING that is not glowing feedback. Just the worst parts of our fanbase.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

POST-PRACTICE INTERVIEW: Sooners Head Coach Brent Venables On Team 132 & Fall Camp Leading Up to First Major Scrimmage
Q: Brent, now that you got on the field with Coach McCullough and Coach Witton, then you talked about wanting to be more physical in the run game and be more violent there. What have you seen on the practice field so far?
It's better than in the spring, with a clear emphasis on physicality and execution. We've still got work to do, but the improvement is visible as players respond to coaching and play with a tougher, more decisive mindset.
POST-PRACTICE INTERVIEW: Sooners Head Coach Brent Venables On Team 132 & Fall Camp Leading Up to First Major Scrimmage
Q: Brent, you talked in the four fall camp about having middle depth on defense and kind of wanting to find out who are those guys. Your batch of practice is in, how do you feel about your goal?
We still have a long way to go, but I'm encouraged by the attitude and hunger of the players. There's willingness to improve daily, and we're seeing depth develop at linebacker and along the defensive front, though we need more consistency and mass forward progress.
POST PRACTICE BLITZ: Sourced Sooners Team Intel, Fall Camp Standouts & Interview Takeaways
Q: How is it going up against the unique defense that is headed by Brent Venables? What's that like and how does that prepare you for the SEC?
Mateer explains that facing Venables's defense is challenging and forces continuous learning; the practice environment against such complexity helps players recognize patterns and adapt more quickly for real games.
EXCLUSIVE: Is Oklahoma Texas A&M’s TOUGHEST Game in 2026? Can Both Take the Next Step? | TexAgs’ Billy Liucci
Q: Brandon, one of the opponents, back in the day, Reuben Owens and Mario Craver back, you've got studs in Waterceiver. What are you most excited about heading into this season?
Liucci responds that the depth and quality at receiver and defensive front, plus the maturation of the quarterback room, should give both programs a solid platform to compete at a high level, with emphasis on getting playmakers more involved and the overall shift from a “rebuilding” to a more competitive trajectory.
BRENT VENABLES PRESSER: Sooners head coach met with media to answer questions on 2026 OU squad & more ahead of start of fall camp
Q: What are your thoughts on the internal pressure you describe and how you plan to sustain it year to year?
The pressure is a culture thing born from high standards and expectations that come from inside the program; it should drive improvement and keep the team hungry, not deter them. We focus on what we can control and continually push toward better consistency and performance.
