  • Drawn in from the start

This was my first time listening to Brett and Gregg of Only Three Lads. I was engaged from the start of the conversation and they never lost me for entire hour and half. Their guests were insightful, informative and entertaining. I too was a young adult in the 1980's and some of my fondest memories revolve around the music of that era. Thank you Brett and Gregg for a fun-filled show that I will continue frequent, as I now have some music homework to do and look forward to leaning more.

Q: How do you approach sequencing when you're finishing a record with multiple collaborators?
He describes a deliberate, on-purpose process where the sequencing serves the story of the album, including the use of instrumentals for breathers and the influence of collaborators' input with care but ultimately trusting his own vision.
E321 - Great Lakes’ Ben Crum - Top 5 Album 1-2 Punches
Q: What makes a successful opening two tracks on an album?
Ben emphasizes strong opener and a second track that either reinforces or pivots the album's direction, creating a compelling early sense of the record's identity.
E321 - Great Lakes’ Ben Crum - Top 5 Album 1-2 Punches
Q: Can you give listeners an abridged history of you, Great Lakes, and how you wound up in the Elephant 6 scene?

E318 - The Silver Snails' Lucas Ward - Top 5 Elliott Smith Songs
Q: So Lucas, are you in Italy right now?
