Such deep knowledge of alternative music… and tons of laughs and research!
As a guest on Only 3 Lads, it was a perfect visit for me as guest. Never a dull lull moment with Uncle Gregg the mystery man and Brett the talking book ))) A real treat! Thanks for sharing music and spotlighting my new book👍🏻
Witty, irreverent, informative and entertaining! What’s not to like? I’ve learned so much about the music I love and found myself wanting to hang out with Uncle Greg and Brett and drink beer with great music on!
Deep knowledge of the musical canon and charming funny guys all around. Also there’s lots of great deep cut recs coming from this show. Always a fun listen - keep up the great work!
This was my first time listening to Brett and Gregg of Only Three Lads. I was engaged from the start of the conversation and they never lost me for entire hour and half. Their guests were insightful, informative and entertaining. I too was a young adult in the 1980's and some of my fondest memories revolve around the music of that era. Thank you Brett and Gregg for a fun-filled show that I will continue frequent, as I now have some music homework to do and look forward to leaning more.

A lively deep dive into classic alternative music from the 70s through the 90s, featuring banter-heavy discussions, top-five lists, and guest musicians who share behind-the-scenes stories, lyrical inspirations, and historical context. Episodes often weave in personal anecdotes, DIY music culture, and cross-promotions, while highlighting indie labels, archives, and the broader shift in the alternative scene. The format feels approachable and fun, with nerdy enthusiasm that attracts long-time fans of the era, new listeners exploring the canon, and potential guests who want to share insider perspectives on creating, performing, and curating across decades.
