  • I knew a thing

My parents where complaining about some trivia question at a pub quiz. I was able to know the pop culture question of who plays Flacon thanks to this show. It annoyed my dad, I think that deserves 5 stars in and of itself.

  • Wish I found it sooner

I’ve been a fan of Roxy since dc movie news. She kills it on every podcast she’s on. The guy is a bit goofy for me but tolerable.

  • DJ does talk trash... About everything. I really wonder if he even likes comics. If it doesn't have super woke trash in it then he doesn't like it. Both DJ and Roxy are super in their LA bubble and super woke. All their opinions are wrapped around their woke life views instead of being open minded and actually having morals. Bye.

  • Great Conversation!

I’ve been listening since January and this is already a Podcast I look forward to every week! You can always count on DJ and Roxy to have a great conversation. If I didn’t feel like I was spending too much time on YouTube, I would definitely sign up for their Patreon so I could listen live!

  • Insightful and challenging(in a good way)

I’ve been listening since day one and used to watch DJ on sourcefed nerd all the time. I love this podcast for pushing me to think differently. Though I have many similar interests to DJ and Roxy I may not always have the same opinion on everything(which is a good thing!). It makes me reevaluate my stance on social issues like reasons for casting opportunities, behaviours of celebrity, and overall world views. That doesn’t always mean I agree but, I definitely feel like I’ve evolved as a human j... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Is THE ODYSSEY Christopher Nolan's Masterpiece?
Q: Jake Hefner asks, how mythological does this movie get? Do we actually see Greek gods and monsters or is it more symbolic?
The panel suggests Nolan aims for a rooted, realistic approach rather than full-on fantasy, with mythic elements present but grounded in a believable reality to keep the audience connected, while still allowing moments of grand mythic scope.
Dan Larson on MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and the End of the Blockbuster!
Q: What did you think of the new Masters of the Universe movie?
I found it visually intriguing with strong performance and ambition but ultimately uneven; the movie had moments that were compelling, yet a sense of tonal whiplash and undercut dramatic stakes by leaning too heavily on humor in key scenes, which dampened emotional engagement for some viewers.
Dan Larson on MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and the End of the Blockbuster!
Q: So as we get into, I want to know your thoughts on MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, but as a quick, obviously people that want to know the history of He-Man should check out your videos. What is a brief introductory history of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE?
A short version: Mattel created in-house IP after Star Wars showed the demand for science fantasy toys; He-Man and Skeletor launched in 1982 with huge toy and DC/mini-comics support, leading to a syndicated cartoon and massive global success before additional properties like She-Ra were spun off.
Can STAR WARS Find A New Hope After THE MANDALORIAN & GROGU?
Q: What are your general feelings on The Mandalorian and Grogu after watching it?
The panelists agree it's enjoyable and visually strong but acknowledge flaws like a perceived lack of a clear throughline or future direction, with some viewers preferring more ambitious storytelling over safe, action-focused content.
Revelations and the Biblical Apocalypse with Tommy Preson Phillips!
Q: Pastor Tommy Preson Phillips, are we living through the End Times?
The question assumes a single, uniform timeline; the guest reframes it, explaining that what people mean by End Times often diverges from the Jewish and early Christian understanding, which anticipated a bringing about of God's kingdom through justice and peace rather than violent end-state scenarios.
