I started listening to the episodes in chronological order, and the early content hasn’t aged very well. For proclaiming that they’re so “scientifically-minded,” their analysis was highly unscientific and riddled with confirmation bias from the perspective of white, cis, hetero, Los Angeles folks. Their takes were fairly mean-spirited and immature, oftentimes sounding like high schoolers bashing on people outside of their immediate friend circle. Ross and Carri are a breath of fresh air in a time of increasing fake news, climate deniers, and conspiracy cults. As a grad student studying science education this show is pertinent and timely. And funny!

I enjoyed many of their investigations including Scientology and Mormons all the way down to ear candling. Their chemistry is usually enjoyable and their insights are often enlightening. I recommend going through their catalog and listen to any of the episodes with titles that sound interesting ti you. The show is over now which is mostly a good decision as it has been in decline for several years now.
