Bathing
Q: Dan, when I saw you at the beginning of this process, which was, I think the day after you had a working build, you were telling me about how you were really happy to re-approach this algorithm, having a lot more mastery over the digital domain than when you originally made Dweller. Can you talk about that?
It was fun because I get to be like, I don't know how limited I am in terms of stages, but 12 sounds really good, and I was like, I built Darkstar and then Black Fountain on top of that and was working on another prototype and then redirected to doing Bathing.
The Black Fountain Special
Q: What kind of oil do you reckon would be cool for different tones?
Olive oil, coconut oil, or even old frying oil could resonate different tones when used in an oil can delay.
The Black Fountain Special
Q: What are some unique uses of the Black Fountain?
It can be used in various ways including different placements in the pedal chain and sequenced uniquely to enhance sound.
Chris Benson and the Bogen Challenger PA
Q: What is your favorite object related to your work?
Chris shares that the Bogen Challenger PA is the first amp he ever worked on, leading to valuable learning experiences.
Dan and Andy and The Whole Year
Q: What did you get a degree in?
I just did English with a specialization in creative writing.
