Bring back the daily 10 min format!
The short, three times daily episodes were really what set this program apart and the way the episodes punctuated my workday is what kept me listening. With the new format, which feels less focused on the daily headlines, I find myself skipping most days. I’m really sad to lose what was one of the parts of my daily routine I most looked forward to and had recommended to others. The reporting quality is still great, but I don’t think I’ll be a frequent listener now.
I used to love NYC Now as my way to get up to date on each day’s NYC headlines. The new format keeps the longer stories of the old version, but seems to have gotten rid of the “Now” part of “NYC Now” —I don’t mind reducing the number of shows a day from 3 to 1, but the 1 doesn’t include an overview of daily headlines at all! It’s hugely disappointing, and the only reason this podcast no longer is 5 stars for me :( its just not meeting the needs of listeners
Perfect to check in with the city's headlines and the Friday morning "on the way" transit segment is my favorite!
Edit: what changed? Why is there only one episode per day instead of three?
