  • Incredible insight to nutrition and health

I love this podcast! The episode on diabetes was especially meaningful for me, as I have a son with type 1. The information was clear, well-researched, and very helpful. Even the episodes that aren't directly relevant to my life have been surprisingly interesting. The host does a great job at making complex nutrition facts easy to understand. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn more about their health!

Could you not know you have coeliac disease (an immune reaction to gluten)? with Dr Kim Faulkner-Hogg
Q: What practical tips would you give to parents to navigate these products and still support healthy eating habits?
Flip the package to check the ingredients and the order of ingredients, avoid front-of-pack claims that aren't reflected in the ingredient list, and consider using pouches as occasional supplements rather than everyday meals, while also integrating whole foods to expose children to a wider range of textures and flavors.

Q: So what actually are squeeze pouches and how did they become so common in the market?
They're defined as a pouch and spout package, often with a large cap on toddlers' versions for safety, and they expanded rapidly from around 2015, appearing across various aisles and not just in baby foods.

The popularized Mediterranean diet is often depicted as high in meat, but traditionally it includes minimal meat and is rich in plant-based foods and olive oil.
