These Hard-to-Believe Moments Made Me a Better Entrepreneur (AMA)
Q: Want me to talk about the funny, anecdotal one quick as we wrap?
Yes—there was a chaotic Costco order where we had to figure out how to package six-packs into cases without the proper equipment, which forced us to improvise and push through by coordinating with partners and leveraging rapid problem-solving.
How to Know If Your Idea Is Worth Building (Without Spending a Dime)
Q: What practical steps can an entrepreneur take to validate an idea before scaling?
Identify whether the product is a recurring necessity or a one-off purchase, assess supply and demand realistically, start as self-run when possible, and consider using channels like Shopify to own customer data instead of relying solely on marketplaces.
How to Know If Your Idea Is Worth Building (Without Spending a Dime)
Q: In your experience, how do you approach market research when you have an idea?
Start with a simple spreadsheet to map competitors, approximate costs, and potential price points, then validate quickly by examining the market rather than over-committing to complex forecasts. How to Get Investors to Say Yes to Your Business (Even as a First-Time Founder)
Q: How do you get investors to say yes?
The core is proving you are the person who can deliver a return on their money, backed by a credible history, demonstrated willingness to execute, and concrete progress that reduces risk for the investor.
Naming Your New Business is Fun. And VERY Risky.
Q: What are the practical steps to check name availability beyond a quick Google search?
They outline using domain checks, USPTO trademark class searches, and considering phonetic variants and potential confusables as part of due diligence before filing.
