Got me back out running after 28years. Struggled through 60 secs at first and got to 30 mins of running by the end.
This podcast is just great. The coach is encouraging and kind and makes me feel like I can really do this. Just what I needed to start enjoying running.
I can’t believe a podcast from 2012 holds up so well, but it really, really works. Got me up and moving and maybe even enjoying running?
Want to download a couch to 5k app? They’ll charge you crazy money to get past week 1 (think $69 or even $99/ year subscription fee!) There was a free NHS app, but only available in the UK. Thankfully found their 12 year old podcast and it’s exactly what I need! Low key, prompts to walk and run, and a nice example of what governmental services can do for their population.
Finally learned to love running at 46 with this app after a lifetime believing that my body wasn’t suited to running. Only downside is the music in early weeks is great, then unfortunately gets repetitive from week 5 onwards. This becomes an issue when runners need to repeat runs more than twice before being ready to progress to next run, and end up unable to bear the song repetitions week after week. Be amazing if the app could be updated with no song repetitions at all.
