  • EJ

Just wondering if EJ is gonna continue to be a commentator for the NHL network, or trying to be a play-by-play announcer for NHL games as a broadcast and sits in the NHL Studios in New Jersey when there’s a game in Toronto Los Angeles, Seattle, Utah Boston. It don’t work EJ Reddick has no clue how to be a color commentator or a play-by-play guy. He sucks stick with what you do best.

Shawn is the WORST. Having an opinion and being a contrarian aren’t the same thing.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mike Maniscalco joins; CAR wins Stanley Cup, VGK Parts with Tortorella
Q: What was the moment like when the Hurricanes finally clinched the Cup call on air?
The broadcaster describes it as surreal and everything he wanted the moment to be, with a blend of pride and astonishment at the realization of the Hurricanes' long journey.
Mike G. Morreale joins; Brady Tkachuk Traded to FLA, Draft Preview, HHOF Class of ‘26
Q: Mike, you wrote a terrific story on Gavin McKenna and his background growing up in White Horse. What did you learn about him and what could the Maple Leafs get if they pick him?
McKenna's upbringing and his grandfather's influence shaped his development; he combines high hockey IQ with two-way play, and there is a real debate about his ceiling versus peers like Stenberg. The Leafs would be getting a dynamic winger with strong leadership traits and a high motor, with potential to impact the NHL sooner rather than later.
Nick Cotsonika joins; Conference Final storylines
Q: You've been out West covering a lot of the playoffs, what stands out about Vegas' approach this year?
Vegas has evolved into a more disciplined, defensively responsible team that can strike quickly with structured depth; their system changes under Tortorella have helped them play at a high level and stabilize in high-pressure moments.
Nic Dowd & Sean Walker join; Stanley Cup Final storylines
Q: What does this entire run mean to you, given everything you've gone through to get to the Final?
Dowd described it as the culmination of a long journey, acknowledging every challenge and emphasizing gratitude for the opportunity to compete for the Cup, while noting the importance of family support and the work that goes into reaching this moment.
Eddie Olczyk joins; MTL Edges BUF in 7, Conference Finals Preview, EDM Fires Knoblauch
Q: So what impresses you about the way Marty St. Louis coaches?
Eddie Olczyk highlights St. Louis's feel for what players need, his willingness to ride lines as needed, and his ability to rotate defensemen and forwards effectively while maintaining a strong bench mindset, which translates into dynamic in-game adjustments that keep Montreal competitive.
