  • A Bit of Both

Is it a podcast about football or a podcast about language? Well, I’d say it’s a bit of both, really. If you love the beautiful game and you love our beautiful language, then this is the podcast for you. Absolute class.

  • A bit repetitive

Been listening for a while but now find myself skipping many as the format and voices have become so repetitive. Thrives best when there are guests and new voices for the regulars to react too otherwise begins to feel a bit stale over time.

  • Finally understood (sort of) Mesut Haaland Dix

Been listening off and on and heard this referred to and couldn’t even speculate what it might be. By chance I caught my first MHD episode today and now I want a notification whenever one of these drops. Fits perfectly with my Grumpy Old Woman persona 😆

North-east river supremacy, David Moyes' giant duck & Keysey's nutmegs

He seemed somewhat irritated by a quirky question about a hypothetical duck-sized scenario, suggesting he was not fully engaged.

Q: Was this a statement win?
It was on the cusp but needed Serbia to be a more recognizable opponent.
The threshold for being "rudderless" & Tour de France riders as footballers
Q: What do you reckon the chances are of Jordan Henderson having to be caretaker manager for a few games this season?
It's a plausible scenario given the team's current dynamics and leadership changes.

Q: Can a team look rudderless after losing key personnel pre-season?
It's likely a bit pre-emptive without seeing evidence of the team's performance.
