  • Thoughtful podcast for global geo-politics & alternative perspectives

Appreciate the diverse guest list, always hearing something new from someone new. Very European-heavy with some western. Not much from other continents (unfortunately, as they’re often on the receiving end of non-neutral policies) but brings light to non-MSM voices.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Escalation: US-Israel Provoking The Next Phase of the War | David T. Pyne
Q: What are the implications of the US political climate for future policy toward Iran and the region?
The guest suggests that internal U.S. politics, including the influence of the 'America First' faction and neocon members of Congress, will continue to push for tough terms against Iran, potentially reshaping alliances and delaying any fundamental pacification efforts.
Escalation: US-Israel Provoking The Next Phase of the War | David T. Pyne
Q: What do you think the United States is trying to achieve on the diplomatic and military fronts right now?
The guest argues the U.S. aims to project strength and deter Iran while using negotiations to secure favorable terms, but frames much of the posturing as strategic theater designed to pressure Iran and manage domestic political expectations, rather than a straightforward path to a durable peace.
The DEAD END of US Militarism. The World is Waking up | Prof. Richard Falk
Q: What would be a realistic path to reform the system to restrain violent impulses and promote neutrality?
A more diverse understanding of political realism is needed, along with democratizing the UN, strengthening equitous norms, mobilizing civil society in solidarity campaigns, and advancing a practical neutrality framework that reduces dependence on militarized power and promotes win-win arrangements with greater restraint on aggression.
The DEAD END of US Militarism. The World is Waking up | Prof. Richard Falk
Q: What is your assessment of the state of international law as we speak in 2026?
International law functions more effectively as a framework for routine interactions, like maritime safety and trade, but in the realm of global security it is hamstrung by power disparities and the veto privilege that preserves the status quo of the powerful, leading to selective enforcement and accountability.
Germany Is Being Conditioned for War
Q: What can individuals do to resist manipulation and foster a healthier public discourse?
Strengthen trust, build networks, educate oneself with credible sources, practice self-care to avoid burnout, and selectively engage with media to reduce susceptibility to sensational narratives.
