  • Thoughtful podcast for global geo-politics & alternative perspectives

Appreciate the diverse guest list, always hearing something new from someone new. Very European-heavy with some western. Not much from other continents (unfortunately, as they’re often on the receiving end of non-neutral policies) but brings light to non-MSM voices.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Escalation to DEFEAT: USA Losing on BOTH Fronts | Stanislav Krapivnik
Q: What is the likelihood of a direct clash between major powers if the fronts merge?
The guest argues that while direct clashes are possible, there is a strategic preference in all sides to avoid a full-scale global confrontation, though miscalculations or misperceptions could push leaders toward riskier actions.
Escalation to DEFEAT: USA Losing on BOTH Fronts | Stanislav Krapivnik
Q: Do you think Russia would welcome foreign troops or a broader NATO role on the ground?
The guest suggests that Russia might prefer limited engagement and would likely assess the cost of a broader intervention, while warning that any escalation could quickly spiral beyond control, especially if civilian populations become a primary target.
🚨 Most DANGEROUS Phase Of Iran War Has Just Begun | Prof. S. M. Marandi
Q: Are we likely to see a protracted war or a quicker resolution based on the current dynamics?
Marandi believes the trajectory could vary; the global economy's response and the resilience of Iran's defense capabilities make a definite timeline uncertain, with potential for long-term conflict unless economic pressures force a strategic rethink from the US and its allies.
🚨 Most DANGEROUS Phase Of Iran War Has Just Begun | Prof. S. M. Marandi
Q: What role do you see for China and Russia in sustaining Iran's position during this extended conflict?
The guest notes that Iran maintains good relations with both China and Russia, leveraging these partnerships to sustain trade and political backing, while Western strategies appear increasingly disconnected from Iranian realities; this suggests a multipolar balancing act rather than alignment with any single bloc.
🚨 Most DANGEROUS Phase Of Iran War Has Just Begun | Prof. S. M. Marandi
Q: Do you think the current phase signals a shift from purely military tactics to political demands from Iran after the MOE?
Marandi suggests that Iran's approach is now more about leveraging strategic assets like the Strait and demanding guarantees that reshape the regional balance, rather than restarting diplomacy under the MOE framework; the war is being framed as deterrence with potential concessions as an endgame option.
