  • Enjoyed it until a disinformation was not challenged

Covid vaccination conspiracy enthusiasm was not challenged on the episode with the poo lady. That was enough for me. I decided to follow her advice and cleanse my feed. Total therapy. No need to allow insidious toxins

Kyung Pak: From Immigrant Struggle to Yoga, Motherhood, and Inner Strength
Q: What role has community played in your development as a yoga teacher in San Diego?
She explains early support from mentors like Holly and Tim Miller, the shift during the pandemic to online Dharma classes, and ongoing engagement with the local yoga community that shaped her teaching style.
Kyung Pak: From Immigrant Struggle to Yoga, Motherhood, and Inner Strength
Q: How did you come to work with Dharma Mitra and begin your Dharma Yoga training?
She describes a transformative encounter at Dharma Yoga Center in New York, the intense Shavasana vision, and how two years of training and mentorship from Dharma and Pam guided her toward veganism and her current teaching path.
Kyung Pak: From Immigrant Struggle to Yoga, Motherhood, and Inner Strength
Q: Kyung, can you tell me how your day has been going so far?
She shares that she recently returned from a three-week visit to Israel, taught two classes, and is excited to connect with the audience about her ongoing journey.
Nathan Thompson: From Addiction to Awakening — Ashtanga, Buddhism & Escaping Samsara
Q: How has parenthood changed your spiritual practice and interpretation of Theravada versus Mahayana?
Parenthood catalyzed a shift from a solitary focus to a more community-centered and family-friendly approach. I learned that Theravada can be very family-inclusive, and my understanding evolved to see the role of merit and community as central rather than seeing family as a barrier to liberation.
Nathan Thompson: From Addiction to Awakening — Ashtanga, Buddhism & Escaping Samsara
Q: What differences do you see between Goenka's Vipassana and Mahasi-style Vipassana, and how has that shaped your practice?
Goenka emphasizes body-based mindfulness across all foundations, while Mahasi focuses on whatever satipatthana arises in the moment, allowing for a more flexible, experiential approach to sensations, thoughts, and emotions. This shift helped me integrate meditation with daily life and raised questions about how Theravada and Mahayana perspectives intersect in practice.
