This is an important story and Virginia is so brave. Awfully edited and repetitive podcast. Poor Virginia and Alex who have such a cowardly mother who is absolutely complicit in the rape and assault of her children and others. Her dismissing of her daughter’s molestation and rape from her own family members is truly baffling and disgusting. She blames everyone else for her not stepping up as the only adult in the transaction (apart from the monster step grandfather). She even glosses over the ch... more
This is an incredibly important story to tell, and it’s told really well.
The issue I have with the podcast is the constant recaps throughout each episode. I am constantly having to skip or check that I’m not listening to a previous episode. I’m not sure what the need is to constantly continue recapping, but I don’t think it’s necessary. It’s making the podcast, which is otherwise great, really difficult to listen to.
After getting through the first episode and trying not to scream at the radio because of how this went on for years and years and no one said anything … I decided to keep listening to support the story and Alex. But seriously the next 2 episodes were just repeating quotes and stories from the first. I don’t listen to true crime to relive the drama and terror of victims. You said you wanted to find justice so get on with it and share that process.
Each episode is mostly recaps of previous episodes. Stop repeating yourself.
Thank you for bringing this issue to light. More needs to be done.
