  • Inaccurate Information

Minimizes dangers and recovery times for several procedures-most notable to me was the show about blephs. Absolutely do not schedule an upper bleph based on information gleaned from this podcast. No one will be looking like a perfect bridesmaid two days after this procedure. First of all, eyes will still be bruised and swollen and stitches will be very visible. Additionally, applying make up within the first week can lead to a serious infection. This episode is dangerously misleading.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sexologist Natassia Miller on Rekindling Desire in Long-Term Relationships
Q: What are practical first steps for a couple who notice desire fading after years together?
Start with reinforcing emotional connection and friendship, discuss and share needs openly, and introduce small, scheduled intimacy efforts. Begin by reintroducing non-sexual touch, like cuddling or a long hug, and gradually build to more explicit conversations about initiation, preferences, and boundaries.
Sexologist Natassia Miller on Rekindling Desire in Long-Term Relationships
Q: What differentiates a sexologist from a sex therapist, and how does that relate to your work with couples?
A sexologist studies human sexuality broadly and can include therapists, educators, and coaches; in practice, I focus on education, guidance, and practical exercises to rekindle desire, not just clinical therapy. This broader approach helps address emotional and relational factors that influence sexual connection.
Dry, Red Eyes? An Eye Doctor Explains the Real Causes & Best Treatments
Q: What are the main types of dry eye and how should they be diagnosed?
There are evaporative and aqueous-deficient dry eye types. Diagnosis involves looking at the surface of the eye, evaluating oil gland function, and understanding the patient's health history to determine if systemic or autoimmune factors are involved.
The LA Facialist on What Makes a Good Facial, Esthetician vs Dermatologist, & Skincare Mistakes
Q: How often should a new client come in for a facial if they have stable skin vs. active concerns like pigment or acne?
Stable skin: quarterly visits aligned with seasonal changes; active concerns require more frequent visits at first, possibly weekly, then tapering to twice a month as inflammation is controlled and pigment or acne improves.
The LA Facialist on What Makes a Good Facial, Esthetician vs Dermatologist, & Skincare Mistakes
Q: When someone comes in, how many times should they see you, and what results should they expect?
Treatments are customized, not a fixed menu; most people see noticeable changes with a tailored protocol and may start more frequent visits for active concerns, tapering as conditions improve. Results depend on ongoing skin assessment and consistency.
