Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 133: Luke Tyler Shelton
Q: What are your plans, man? Where do you see yourself in this crazy business and in this world of touring and making music?
I want to tour all around the world and I want to collab with artists consistently. I'm trying to work with other songwriters and find those voices that are already doing it currently.
Ep. 127: Lou Gramm (Foreigner)
Q: What was the experience like to finally get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
It was thrilling yet bittersweet as it came 20 years later than we felt it should have, with some original members no longer able to participate.
Ep. 127: Lou Gramm (Foreigner)
Q: How did you evolve into the vocalist then? Who inspired you then?
Initially, I was inspired by John Lennon and Motown singers like Marvin Gaye. I started with drums in bands and eventually moved to become the frontman.
Ep. 127: Lou Gramm (Foreigner)
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about the songwriting process and Foreigners all those years with you and Mick?
The songwriting process involved Mick coming up with guitar riffs, and I would usually provide the hook ideas. We built a story into the song from those elements.
Ep 120: Steve Bardwil & Joe Chiccarelli
Q: As a producer, what do you look for in band rehearsals?
The best records are made outside the studio in rehearsals, where the essence of the song is developed.
