Really enjoy listening to this. Thanks for the thoughtful movie discussions and recommendations.
Also I would love to hear you all do several movies by the same director in one episode. For example I would love to hear a Terence Malick episode on his more pseudo autobiographical movies like “To the Wonder” compared with the period pieces like “Tree of Life” and “The New World.”
Or a Scorsese episode. I haven’t heard you all discuss “Silence” and I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Hearing these two sleepy heads explore and navigate through selected films with an intentional outline has been pure enjoyment. The chemistry between these brothers is what makes me look forward to listening to each episode. Matthew’s detailed analysis combined with Mitchell’s meme-like one-liners makes me feel like I’m sitting at a table with some friends. Plus, I now have a Letterboxd account because of them so I guess you could say the pod has been inspiring.

Re: Title - They are literally brothers AND they love and know film. As a person with brothers who is interested in conversations about c i n e m a , this hits the spot.
Their banter is personal and fun and engaging. Their occasional guests spice up the convos in an exciting way too!
Worth noting that, functionally, the show has good audio mixing… for some reason some podcasts don’t and are hard to listen to? So I’m glad they DO!
