Wow. Just wow. This is not something I would normally listen to but damn, I'm happy I did. The production was top notch and the story was fantastic. Never a dull moment and kept my imagination going.
Just do yourself a favor and give it a listen.
Amazingly immersive, fun and exciting, addicting, and irreverent.
Highlight and what brought me to the podcast was that Eric Christian Olsen (Community, NCIS Los Angeles) voices the character Vant. Stayed with it because I loved the back and forth between “current” and Vant’s past.
There were a few graphic things I could have done without, in Crash Town especially, but I see how the author wanted to show the.. color of the environment they were in. (If you are more sensitive to hedonistic behaviors, listen with caution.)

Mortal Enemies is a rich and amazing story telling experience! The quality is incredibly high with great and very talented voice actors.
The story is high quality and does a great job in building the characters and the world. The character dynamics work really well and creat an immersive story. And the magic and weapons, phew, crazy!
Do yourself a favor and give it at least a couple episodes before deciding whether or not this book is for you. The sound quality, the acting and the story are all awesome, and come together to form hours of engrossing completely free entertainment. If you're a fan of audiodramas, you'll be a fan of this.
I'll be honest it took me a good 6 episodes to get into this and if it wasn't for listening to the trailer first I would've probably given up.
So very glad I didn't it's an amazing production, I binged it for 3 days. A good story with great acting and it's the first I've listened to with a narrator. A post apocalyptic fantasy story read and acted so very well by a big cast. There was a teaser to a follow up and I only hope there is.
This is honestly 1 of the best stories I’ve read, heard, watched, etc. in a very long time! I was really sad to get to the end & really hope we get more soon! Not to mention the quality of the VAs & narration was probably the best I’ve heard yet, even beating out Titans in the audio drama genre like We’re Alive (in my opinion at least). I’m definitely recommending this to everyone I know that enjoys audio dramas.
This is not only an amazing story, but all around fantastic and fully immersive production. Don’t know if I’ve ever been so lost in the world of an audiobook. The writer, the actors, the sound design, all of them worthy I have 1000 listenings. I cannot recommend Mortal Enemy enough!
Best Thursday ever!!!!
If I have one gripe about Mortal Enemy, it’s that the humor is pretty juvenile. There’s only so many references to penises and farts I can take in an otherwise fairly serious work before I want to yell enough already. And yet the last scene still manages to squeeze one more in. But if you can get past the Shrek-like need to pepper in jokes about bodily functions, there’s a lot to like about this heavily BioShock-inspired mix of science fiction and fantasy. The cast is a murderer’s row of TV and ... more

I’ve never listened to anything like this. At its essence, Mortal Enemy is an epic dystopian fantasy. Scary, funny, thrilling. Great sound effects, music, really cinematic. Once I fought through the carnage and craziness like the main character, Vant, I discovered a surprisingly thought provoking story, just totally compelling and original.
The cast is ridiculous. Eric Olsen, Chris Pine, Keegan Allen, Troian Bellisario, Patrick Adams? Wow. The tale on its own was awesome enough but it was fun ... more
Mortal Enemy is incredible! Unpredictable, imaginative, and so much fun!
