  • Riccardo Ball is the best!

Riccardo is the best broadcaster on Sport Nation in my opinion. Please can we have more Riccardo Ball on air - he does a great job. And get him in the Auckland FC tank top more too please.

LOVERACING.NZ Racing Update with Mick Guerin (30/3/26)
Q: In a Melbourne Cup carnival where four race days fit into eight days, how often do tracks shift the rail to adapt to ground conditions?
Typically around three times: the derby day often sees a slight rail move, and additional shifts may occur for the Thursday or Saturday races depending on weather and track rutting, with the Oaks Day adjustment being more possible if the surface is affected.
NZ Football All Whites Pre-World Cup Buildup Team Announcement | All Whites Manager Darren Bazeley (16/3/26)
Q: What does the build-up look like in the final weeks before the World Cup given the limited international windows?
The World Cup window will allow more time together, with an earlier release date for players and a plan for late May arrivals; for March, the squad will have only a couple of training sessions before the Finland match, so flexibility and cohesion have to be built on prior camp experiences.
NZ Football All Whites Pre-World Cup Buildup Team Announcement | All Whites Manager Darren Bazeley (16/3/26)
Q: With Chris Wood unavailable, where do the goals come from and how will you manage up front?
Wood is hard to replace, but the squad has emerging options like Ben Wayne and Andre De Jong, plus Costa, with the understanding that different players will need to adapt to a forward role depending on the game plan.
NZ Football All Whites Pre-World Cup Buildup Team Announcement | All Whites Manager Darren Bazeley (16/3/26)
Q: Darren, how do you see Lockie Baylis fitting into the All Whites setup this time around?
Baylis is a left-footed central midfielder with good energy and industrious running; he isn't a Sarpreet Singh type but can contribute as a box-to-box midfielder who can operate across midfield and push into advanced areas when needed.
NRL x Super League £250m Proposal | Rugby League Journalist John Davidson (18/3/26)
Q: John, what does it mean for clubs outside the top 12?
It remains to be seen exactly, but the agreement could fund improvements and broadcasts that benefit higher‑placed clubs while potentially reshaping incentives for lower‑tier teams; the exact mechanics depend on terms yet to be communicated, including how revenue would trickle down.
