I’ve tried so hard to enjoy this podcast. I’m a rugby tragic and normally love insights and analysis but you’ve really missed the mark with your format. Listening to James Parsons endlessly and patronising sermonise to us is nauseating. It generally works well if Bryn is there to break up the monologue but with just you two it’s actually unbearable. No doubt James is very knowledgeable and has some interesting insights but please just think of the listener. We don’t tune in to get lectured too ... more
The analysis and insight from the team is superb; recent casts breaking apart how rugby is evolving in the Southern Hemisphere were especially good.
The producer for some unknown reason puts background noise (crowd, ref whistles) underneath the conversation, in soma cases making the discussion unintelligible.
Pretty boring podcast when the guys talk about down lines and the technicalities of the sport. Would rather hear their opinions on the storylines currently in rugby (i.e the rising prevalence of red cards)than some drivel about up and down lines zzzz.
Great analysis and insight in to NZ rugby but also knowledgeable about overseas matches, clubs and players so not all NZ. James Parsons brings great experience and perspectives.
and it was ruined by the constant, distracting phlegmy coughing that was going on. Get this podcast an operable “cough button”!
