  • A Rugby Podcast not a Sports Podcast

Basically a rugby podcast, so ideal for old people. It even has Murray Mexted on there for good old fashioned views. Next to nothing on the two biggest and most exciting sporting competitions in Australasia, the NRL and AFL. We even have a team in the NRL, the biggest rating TV sports completion involving the two countries.

Rugby should be included, so the older audience has something to listen to, but how about the exciting stuff!!

  • End of 2025 review

Devlin does great work. This interview of him by Mark Philpott is full of Marty’s intelligence, passion and common sense. If you love rugby and the All Blacks in particular this is a must listen to. High commended.

  • Time for Mex to go.

Would be a 5 star pod if not for the segments with Mex.

Dave Rennie’s Ireland Warning: The All Blacks’ Biggest Test Yet
Q: Looking ahead to Ireland, what do you think needs to improve against a team like that?
Ireland is a quality side with strong connections and well-coached systems; we need to be prepared to both counter their threat and respect their defensive structure, balancing our game with smart kicking and tempo.
Dave Rennie’s Ireland Warning: The All Blacks’ Biggest Test Yet
Q: Dave, two weeks under the bout now. How are you finding everything? What's your assessment of the last two performances?
I'm happy with the end result and the effort, the attitude has been great. The boys have been awesome and we've managed to make some good shifts despite the challenges thrown at us.
All Blacks post match | Dave Rennie and Ardie Savea
Q: Can you summarise one key thing you've learned after two weeks that you didn't know at the start of preparation?
Rennie notes that there isn't a single breakthrough insight; rather, it's been about getting to know the players better, understanding their conversations and dynamics, and recognizing that there is more in the tank as they continue to develop as a group.
Beauden Barrett On Beating Springboks In South Africa And 2027 World Cup
Q: What keeps you motivated to stay at the highest level through 2027?
Barrett discusses commitment to New Zealand rugby, family, and the desire to finish his career strongly with the Blues and All Blacks, emphasizing long-term contribution over short-term payoffs.
Why Dave Rennie Will BRUTALIZE the French Loose Forward Pack | Brad Weber
Q: Is there a risk of relying on a familiar 'New Zealand way' if the forward pack faces a stronger European influence?
Brad and the host argue for maintaining speed and conditioning as the core strength, while being adaptable to France's set-piece and physicality by leveraging ball-in-hand tempo and targeting mismatches in the backline when opportunities arise.
