  • Fluctuations in sound levels

Hi I enjoy listening to this podcast but often there are huge fluctuations in sound volume ... inaudible from one of the hosts while super loud from the other. Would appreciate if someone could look into this issue. Thanks!

Focus on inflation, changes in healthcare access, and shifts in the financial system's ability to support aging populations; build a flexible plan with income stacking and inflation hedges.
Alberta Separation: Retirement Under Pressure
Q: What are the macroeconomic risks and opportunities for retirees if Alberta becomes independent or remains part of Canada?
The guest discusses higher risk premiums, potential disruption to energy, agriculture, and transportation, and the need for investors to seek safer or more diversified opportunities, possibly in the US, while noting the overall uncertainty.
Alberta Separation: Retirement Under Pressure
Q: Do you think economically Alberta's separation question will be on the ballot and what form might the question take?
The guest explains that the ballot design could be two-stage or complex, and the economic implications hinge on uncertainty and how it affects investment decisions.
Carney’s $25B Question and the New Retirement Reality
Q: What is the potential role of a sovereign wealth fund for ordinary Canadians?
If well managed, such a fund could support economic diversification and public benefits, but individual investors are unlikely to provide major funding; benefits depend on governance and objectives.

Q: What should travelers consider regarding hantavirus risk when traveling?
Exposure risk is higher in certain regions like parts of South America; travelers should practice standard precautions, ventilate areas with rodent presence, wear protective gear when cleaning rodent-contaminated spaces, and monitor for symptoms.
