  • Faith and giving

Comes voluntarily not through lies, receipt and enforcement through the same methods, including forcing people to live on the street. That does not demonstrate faith, what it demonstrates is religion.

How Money Can Do Good in Your Marriage with Matt Bell
Q: What practical steps help couples stay aligned on money?
Develop a cash flow plan and have regular, time-boxed money meetings to review the plan; use the plan to guide everyday decisions rather than waiting until month-end.
How Money Can Do Good in Your Marriage with Matt Bell
Q: How should couples think through whether to combine finances or keep accounts separate?
Bell recommends joint accounts for transparency and teamwork, while noting some accounts (like IRAs) cannot be combined; overall, shared finances reduce fights and increase unity.
Faithfully Stewarding a Surplus with Rachel McDonough
Q: So Rachel, why trade spreadsheets for fiction? Tell us the backstory.
Rachel explains that while she is a non-fiction thinker, storytelling can reach hearts in a way that numbers alone cannot, and even though Jesus taught in parables, fiction can illuminate stewardship in practical, transformative ways.
Contentment in Every Season with Jeff Manion
Q: What does the Desert Classroom teach about wealth and contentment?
It teaches that learning contentment happens in every season—whether in scarcity or sufficiency—by staying faithful to God and not worshiping prosperity; the desert reveals dependence on God without the security of abundance.
Financial Virtues Series: Justice (Righteousness) with Justin Lonas
Q: Justin, when many people hear the word justice, they may think first of politics or courtrooms, and justice certainly has a place in those things. But how would you define justice from a biblical perspective?
Justice is a holistic concept in scripture that includes retributive and restorative elements, mercy, and flourishing relationships. It ties personal righteousness to public justice, and all of life—economic decisions, community care, and stewardship—flows from the character of God. It isn't merely rule-keeping but a lifestyle oriented toward shalom and neighbor-love.
