  • A breath of fresh air

Finally a good host after so much chopping and changing. Is informative, interviews well, and knows finance, wish it was longer.

Generally like it sharp and informative. A couple of improvements would be more content detail in the podcast episode description because most people don’t have time to listen to podcasts that don’t detail the content and the ads are way too frequent.

  • Refreshing

I’ve been a long time listener over the years and enjoyed the show immensely, right up ‘until’ the gambling ads started unfortunately.

Aussie defence manufacturer inks US Navy and AUKUS deals.🪖🚢
Q: You've been a beneficiary of the Aukus framework, does that backdrop assist growth into the US, UK, and potentially Australia as well?
Yes, Aukus accelerates demand for faster submarine production; AML3D positions itself to supply parts and systems across the US and Australia, leveraging on-site capabilities in Ohio and Adelaide to meet increasing production targets and to supply the broader Aukus ecosystem.
Aussie defence manufacturer inks US Navy and AUKUS deals.🪖🚢
Q: So tell us about the systems, because you mentioned the HII deal. What does that mean for the company and what does it actually mean for AML3D?
The HII deal demonstrates that AML3D's technology has moved into mainstream defense manufacturing, expanding both on-site system installations in the US and cross-border production capabilities with Australia; it marks a major milestone with a large initial order and lays the groundwork for additional system sales and broader adoption in the US defense supply chain.
What the ceasefire means for global oil markets 🌍🛢️⛽
Q: Let's start where things are right now. What has happened in the oil market since the ceasefire started?
The market has become more anxious as the Hormuz Strait remains closed or constrained, with pricing under pressure from supply uncertainties and rising risks, and investors are likely to push for longer-term diversification of chokepoints even as near-term flows slowly resume.
Money News with Scott Haywood 💵📊📻 - Tuesday, 7th April
Q: What are the potential reforms the government might consider after the oil price shock?
Stephen Kakoulis explains that reforms are likely to involve scaling back generous tax concessions (particularly around capital gains and negative gearing) and reining in NDIS costs, with a focus on budget balance and reducing debt while avoiding abrupt eliminations of popular programs.
Money News with Scott Haywood 💵📊📻 - Thursday, 9th April
Q: Let's start where things are right now. What has happened in the oil market since the ceasefire started?
The ceasefire shifted market expectations but because the Strait of Hormuz remains contested, supply fears persist, keeping upward price pressure as traders reassess risk and look to alternatives and longer-term supply diversification.
