  • Editing issues

I think the content is probably helpful, but it is very hard to get past the poor editing. There are frequently issues with repetitive content and glitches with the editing and I stop listening because it feels unprofessional and makes her seem unreliable.

248 // Swedish Death Cleaning as an Act of Love - My Interview on Paring Down
Q: What are practical first steps someone should take when starting with Swedish death cleaning?
Start with bigger items like clothing and furniture, use a sign‑up sheet for heirlooms, and keep photographs and documents for later as you gain momentum.
248 // Swedish Death Cleaning as an Act of Love - My Interview on Paring Down
Q: What is Swedish death cleaning and why is it relevant to people who aren't near end-of-life age?
It's about clearing your things so loved ones aren't burdened after you pass, and it can be practiced earlier to reduce emotional and logistical strain, not just as a morbid exercise.
248 // Swedish Death Cleaning as an Act of Love - My Interview on Paring Down
Q: Would you give everyone a little bit about who you are and what you do?
I'm a wife and mom who does in-home decluttering and organizing, and I host a weekly podcast about decluttering and simplifying for moms.
247 // Why You Can’t Let Go of Your Clutter (And How to Finally Get Rid of it Without The Guilt) - my interview on No Guilt Mom
Q: If you were to leave somebody listening to this with like one step to move forward today to decrease the guilt that she's carrying around her stuff and decluttering, what would you tell her to do?
Start with self-compassion and give yourself permission to pause before buying or keeping items; assess whether the item truly serves your current needs or could be used by someone else, and consider putting it on a back burner to reevaluate later.
244 // The Best Mom Isn’t a Perfect Mom - It’s a Happy One - with JoAnn Crohn from No Guilt Mom
Q: How does the Happy framework practically help a parent when a child resists a boundary or a demand for change?
Have priorities sets the focus on the repeated issue; Appreciate your child's viewpoint builds understanding; Problem solve involves the child in creating a solution; Yield the work means letting the agreed approach play out, with follow-up only if needed. This collaborative process reduces resistance and fosters ownership.
