  • I listened to these two fucking yokels because they invited a third yokel onto their podcast who's getting a little more attention than he deserves. Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance. Boy I have not heard so much projection in so short a time period than these three. But at least it gave me the insight to finally figure out JD Vance. He's the smartest stupid person around. He can make arguments, but he doesn't realize that his points apply equally to him. Honestly I'm surprised he can breathe... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Moment of Truth Live at Reindustrialize (ft. Mark Widmar)
Q: What policy would you implement to jumpstart reindustrialization if you were the economy's czar for a day?
The policy would be to get government out of the way—reduce interconnection queues and bureaucratic delays that slow grid connections and investment, allowing companies to build and scale in the US while maintaining strong labor and environmental standards.
Moment of Truth Live at Reindustrialize (ft. Mark Widmar)
Q: Can you paint the picture of how you did that (scale manufacturing in the US) and what roadmap it creates for other manufacturers?
Mark Widmar explains the ecosystem approach: keep R&D together with manufacturing, invest in local glass supply chains, upskill workers through targeted education, and pursue deliberate, long-term commitments to domestic production rather than short-term ROI. This creates a foundation for sustaining American manufacturing and reducing reliance on international supply chains.
Can The CIA Be Saved? (ft. George Beebe)
Q: How should Congress oversee the IC to avoid politicization and inefficiency?
Oversight should focus on substantive questions about assumptions, measures of effectiveness, cost-benefit analyses including civil liberties impacts, and ensuring objective, neutral analytic production rather than sensational or partisan framing.
Can The CIA Be Saved? (ft. George Beebe)
Q: Where does real power sit within the IC according to you?
Real power comes from proximity to the President and the ability to deliver the president's daily briefing and strategic insights; the DNI's influence hinges on political closeness and effective briefing to the Oval Office.
Can The CIA Be Saved? (ft. George Beebe)
Q: What is the ODNI and how did it come to be?
ODNI was established after 9/11 to unify and coordinate the IC, replacing a previously centralized model and attempting to ensure better sharing and community judgments across agencies, though it lacks strong budgetary authority and relies on relationships with the President for clout.
