The Rufo and Lopez show is quickly becoming one of the best and transcending this sort of local-minimum political discussion that dominates media.

  • Not Afraid of Common Sense

At a time when there are a plethora of political theories and approaches, these guys both understand the ideas and can cut through the noise to boil things down to common sense. Their approach is proof that you can both reject the dysfunctional political culture we are in, while still not pursuing novelty for novelty's sake. I enjoy the show tremendously and I wish them continued success.

  • Disappointing

I used to listen basically every day, but they’ve morphed into just standard, card carrying Republicans. Really guys? Welcome to the dustbin of history.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mike Cernovich Exposes Why the Tech Right Betrayed MAGA | Ep 64
Q: What is Tucker Carlson's likely aim with a potential third party, and what does that mean for coalition cohesion?
The discussion suggests Tucker Carlson is weighing strategic leverage in 2028, aiming to mobilize a broader appeal while not fully breaking from MAGA roots, with the risk that a third party could fragment the movement unless there is a convincing, unified platform and real policy translations that resonate with the median voter.
Mike Cernovich Exposes Why the Tech Right Betrayed MAGA | Ep 64
Q: Where do you think we are right now, and where do you think things are gonna go from here?
Cernovich frames the current moment as a period of reconfiguration within the online right, highlighting generational gaps, the need for authentic leadership, and the potential for a more durable coalition that can endure beyond Trump if there is willingness to admit past missteps and collaborate with traditional power centers on tangible, localized projects.
Graham Platner and the Return of #METOO w/ Michael Tracey | Ep 65
Q: What is the broader significance of Platner's withdrawal beyond Maine?
The discussion suggests the event illustrates how parties use rape allegations as a political cudgel to purge opponents, test coalition loyalties, and set standards for future candidates, potentially reshaping internal party dynamics and media narratives.
Balaji’s Theory of American Decline | Part 1 | Ep 59
Q: Balaji, you've been a long time friend of both Rufo and Lomez separately now together. Can you walk us through this debate around Indian internationalism versus American nationalism?
Balaji describes the debate as a clash over how open borders and diaspora dynamics interact with national interests, arguing that the internet era reframes these questions and that embracing a more global, technologically enabled approach can coexist with protecting core American well-being and opportunities for its citizens.
Bannon, Dugin, Evola, & the Philosophical Roots of the Trumpian Right | Ep 54
Q: How does traditionalism relate to the rise of the tech right and figures like Balaji Srinivasan and Mark Andreessen?
The guest explains that the tech right represents a practical, market-driven counterbalance to elite liberal governance, while retaining shared suspicions of woke ideology; technology is seen as both a driver of change and a tool for restructuring political coalitions, often blending libertarian pragmatism with a new kind of cultural conservatism.
