  • Skip the intro

Awesome church with a great message with every sermon. I just wish they would change the obnoxious EDM intro on this podcast... I get its targeted treated the younger crowd, but coming from a 30 year old, it’s a bit much and I have to skip past it.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Continuing the Conversation | Who Do You Say I Am? | Answer Honestly
Q: How do you balance not stepping on others' toes in a series with delivering your own message?
You try to anchor content in the series while respecting others' upcoming points, and you prepare in a way that flows with the broader narrative they are building.
Continuing the Conversation | Who Do You Say I Am? | Answer Honestly
Q: What role do spiritual disciplines play in sermon prep?
Spiritual disciplines are tools to open the heart so the message can come from a place of God's love and acceptance, rather than from self-driven performance.
Continuing the Conversation | Who Do You Say I Am? | Answer Honestly
Q: How is preparing for staff talks different from prepping a weekend message?
Preparing for staff talks focuses more on insider context and addressing a narrower audience, while weekend sermons aim to reach a diverse congregation with broad relevance.
Continuing the Conversation | An Easter Q + A | Easter 2026
Q: How do I move from just believing in Easter to being transformed by it?
Move step by step: recognize Jesus is who he said he is, then pursue content (Bible reading, sound teaching) and community (church, mentors) to apply beliefs into daily life.
Continuing The Conversation | God's Not Ghosting You | Backbeat
Q: Could you help us restate kind of the three ways to look at the silence from God in your life?
The reasons for silence can be: 1) God has already spoken and we haven't submitted; 2) God is still preparing what we're pursuing; 3) God is more interested in developing us than directing us.
