  • Needs work

This is going to need a little time to get there. I've listen to many podcasts, and I'm a regular at trying new ones. As much as I like the host, the conversation left no room for real spontaneity. She sounded so scripted, even if she wasn't. And, new hosts always talk too much.

  • “”Like….ya know?”

Just listened to the episode called “mind over Mountain“ with Heather Anderson. I had to shut it off about 3/4 of the way through, because between Heather and the host the phrase “You know?” must have been said 90 times. I’m not kidding.

Polo, Pressure, and Paving the Way with Shariah Harris
Q: What is it like being a nurse and how does that intersect with polo?
She's balancing a full-time operating room nursing role with polo, describing how she fits practice and tournaments around her demanding schedule, and acknowledging that sponsorship and support help maintain that balance.
The Comeback Mindset with Maddy Schaffrick
Q: How did you manage the pressure and expectations after you returned?
I focused on being present, listening to myself, and letting joy guide my performance. I learned there was no single path to connect with the sport, and I worked to create environments that supported each athlete's unique connection.
The Comeback Mindset with Maddy Schaffrick
Q: What happened next after you retired at 20, and how did you find your way back to snowboarding?
I moved back to Steamboat, volunteered with the youth snowboard program, and eventually became head coach. When I stopped plumbing and regained a sense of purpose, I returned to competition with a healthier mindset, teaching others and rediscovering why I love the sport.
Trust the Dogs: Blair Braverman on Letting Go and Staying Alive
Q: Have dogs saved Blair's life on the trail?
Yes, through multiple small and large moments, including navigational breakthroughs and crossing dangerous terrain, where dogs' instincts and collaboration kept the team safe.
Trust the Dogs: Blair Braverman on Letting Go and Staying Alive
Q: What is the core leadership dynamic in a dog team?
Leadership hinges on trust and anticipation—mushers must predict dogs' needs (water, food, shelter) before they arise, rather than commanding through dominance.
