  • Mouth noises!

The content of the Ideal Parent podcast was OK, but George kept making mouth and swallowing noises, which can be pretty triggering to people with childhood sexual abuse histories…. Nothing personal against him, but I just can’t listen to that. Or choose not to.

An Attachment Perspective: How to Navigate Rejection Sensitivity
Q: How is the experience of abandonment threat different for dismissive and preoccupied individuals?

An Attachment Perspective: How to End Perfectionism + Validation-Seeking Behavior
Q: How do you organize a life so that primary exploration is at the center and secondary exploration is in balance?
You need to integrate meaningful pursuits into your daily life rather than saving them for the end of the day when you are exhausted.
An Attachment Perspective: How to End Perfectionism + Validation-Seeking Behavior
Q: So are you saying if that is the case, you hunker down and pursue the exploration, and even though it feels that you will not reach, even though it will not be perfect, and even though you will feel the loss and the humiliation?
People who are unwilling to bear that, whose perfectionism interferes with their exploration, often abandon trying to overcome it, leading to a life focused on distraction and avoiding meaningful pursuits.
