  • Matt Chorley’s Urgent Questions

Good moments but not up to the level of his Previous Red Box podcast. But maybe I just reflect an older generation than your current target (50+)?

Totally get why my reactions might not seem important. But I thought a part of Matt’s appeal was that he spanned generations?

  • About time, Mr Chorley

Still not reached his zenith that he achieved at Times Radio, but a pretty good pod especially if you can’t listen to the show due to work etc. Insightful and funny content from Mr Matt Chorley of Somerset.

Loses the 5th star due to the inclusion of the boring Member of Matt’s Parliament feature, which is dull and boring. Who cares?

The guest suggests that while polling shows momentum, the key is building a compelling narrative and culture within the party to unite and inspire, rather than relying solely on policy resets.
Is this chaos totally precedented?
Q: Take us through when we've, well, I suppose the big question is, is what's happening this week unprecedented, Dan?
Dan Snow explains that while the week is turbulent, it fits within historic cycles of political turnover and does not by itself signal an unprecedented breakdown of the system.
What would make British Jews feel safer?
Q: James, how are you?
Very good, and all the better for having been taken right into the heart of democracy by Matt Chorley.

Mis-underestimating Russia leads to a dangerous gap in anticipating its actions and vulnerabilities, which historically has pushed Western policy toward overconfidence in certainty and under-preparedness, highlighting the need for a consistent, informed, strategic approach rather than reactive one-offs.
