  • Superb

Always enjoyable with a continual link to real life. Lots of areas of maths that myself (a non-mathematician) can mostly understand and even the areas that are far beyond me are supremely interesting. Above all Katie and Peter are so lovely to listen to. Thanks for making this guys, it’s a real comfort podcast for me.

  • Double plus good

These are good fun, and (mostly) not as “mathsy” as some might fear. Takes a look at a different familiar object each episode, and talks about why & how it relates to maths in some way. Its not too jargon- or equation-heavy, so as long as you’re not too maths phobic, it's well worth a listen. (Oh, and shouldn’t they be called “acoustic *lenses*”? I mean, a wall’s an acoustic mirror, no?)

  • I often go on a subscribing spree when I get a notion in my head about secretly indoctrinating my child with aerosolised education - this was one of those. I've been making myself try some new things lately for my own benefit and being a lover of objects and their significance, thought the episode about an old maths book might be a nice one to try out. I'm hooked already. People being genuinely interested in something is my favourite thing. It comes across so well here. Thank you!

Enjoyable. But Peter Howlett’s nasal mumbling annoyed me. Hence three stars. Sorry but good communication skills and effort do count in education.
