Marvel Movie Minute is the deep-dive the MCU deserves — one film, five minutes at a time. We're working through every Marvel Cinematic Universe release in order, and this season hosts Matthew Fox, Kyle Olson, Rob Kubasko, and Pete Wright are going beat by beat through Captain America: The Winter Soldier — unpacking the craft, the comic roots, and everything HYDRA thought they could hide. The show i... more

The MCU is not, as a rule, interested in parking lots. Minutes 26–30 of Captain America: The Winter Soldier are. In one, a veteran named Garcia describes what it felt like to swerve away from a bag she thought was an IED — and then get pulled over by... more
These five minutes open on Peggy Carter — still alive, still sharp enough to clock Steve's dramatics from a hospital bed — portrayed through digital wizardry so convincing that a real elderly woman's wrinkles were harvested and applied to Hayley Atwe... more
Matthew and Rob are out this week — working on video essays that will almost certainly never be finished — so Kyle Olson and Pete Wright have the floor for minutes 16 through 20, which happen to contain both the most operatically over-armed sequence ... more
This week, Pete and Rob are out sick — specifically, "too burrito-brained to Winter Soldier," which is a medical condition Kyle Olson and Matthew Fox are apparently immune to. The two step in to cover minutes eleven through fifteen, which means you'r... more

The Marvel Movie Minute ‘WAS’ a great podcast. And maybe it will be again. These 2 reviewing Thor: The Dark World, are insufferable. They clearly hate this movie. Please just dump the rest of the episodes so we can get rid of this duo, and start the next movie.
Fun show, and I love the insights. Sometimes it gets a bit navel-gazing when they forget the context that it's a minute out of a full movie, but they're usually pretty good about calling themselves out. The current season (Avengers 1) has felt a little weird though. They seem really reluctant to praise Whedon by name, but I don't get it. He can be a repugnant human who shouldn't be given more jobs, but also a talented filmmaker and writer. [Kermit drinking tea gif]
Gentlemen, I get it, it’s 2023, and wokeism is mandatory, but cmon! No one’s offended by writing black widow in a sex positive tone.
I’ve been listening to your show since the first season and subscribed to your Patreon for a year or two. I don’t mind that you’ve added sponsors, happy you’re getting ad revenue, but the ads themselves are loud, obnoxious, and repetitive at Clockwork Orange levels. I love the content but can’t stand listening anymore. If you had an ad free supported version I’d pay for it.
You wouldn’t think a single minute would go folks much to talk about, but, lo and behold, the challenge is real. So is the engaging conversation! Well done, gentlemen! I admire your effort.

A deep-dive MCU podcast that goes minute-by-minute through Captain America: The Winter Soldier, unpacking craft, comic roots, and HYDRA-era conspiracies. Episodes spotlight production choices, character dynamics (especially Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, and supporting players), and the film's espionage-influenced shift toward a grounded thriller. Regular hosts bring a shared love of craft, with frequent debates on action choreography, storytelling structure, and franchise implications, often tying in broader MCU context and behind-the-scenes anecdotes. A standout is maintaining rigorous, minutiae-driven analysis while keeping the discussion accessible and entertaining for fans who crave both detail and context. Noteworthy for its structur... more
