This week we have a little bit of everything, our second Inland Empire watch, Jane Austen’s, The History of England written when she was just 15, and we talk about what’s on tap for Folk Horror Summer which starts next week.
This week we have reach episode 4 and it’s our last Twin Peaks for a little while. Luckily it’s an incredibly fun episode, chalk full of jokes, physical comedy, and silly situations.
This week we are covering part 3 of Twin Peaks season 3 aka The Return. We have new ethereal spaces, doppelgängers, jackpots, and calls for help.
This week we continue on with Twin Peaks Season 3, Part 2. So many mysteries and so few answers as of yet.

I discovered this podcast when the hosts appeared on Lost in the Movies. They made me realize that I wasn’t alone in my fervent love for both David Lynch and Jane Austen. Their dynamic is more Austenesque than Lynchian, but they clearly love both. A lot of fun to listen to.
I’m so happy I stumbled onto this podcast looking for something to support my Mansfield Park re-read. I listened to those episodes first and I was so impressed with the hosts’s smart and compassionate read (also felt vindicated in my love for Fanny Price). I’m listening to the beginning episodes now and if I’m sorry that I didn’t find this podcast sooner, I’m glad I have so many episodes to look forward to.
It’s tolerable. All they do is giggle and guffaw pointlessly. There is much of importance to be said and argued, but they just kept chuckling like a couple of nitwits.

Love the show and love their dynamic. I was expecting it to start with one Austen fan and one Lynch fan but Maya was the fan of both and Christian was the newcomer to both. The show is a fun not too serious look at both subjects in depth but they down drown you with minutiae. My only complaint is the audio levels are not the most consistent but they have rereleased a few episodes with improved audio as they became more experienced. There are a lot of Twin Peaks podcasts and Jane Austen podcasts ... more

Two friends explore cross-genre works by Jane Austen and David Lynch through thoughtful, playful discussions that blend literary analysis with film and television critique. Episodes frequently compare adaptations, contrast era-specific storytelling, and unpack themes, character dynamics, and visual/musical motifs across Austen-era adaptations and Lynchian cinema. A notable strength is the duo's chemistry and approachable scholarship, which makes dense pop culture topics accessible to both Austen fans and Lynch enthusiasts, while leveraging a core habit of linking classics to contemporary media. The show stands out for its dual nerdy passions, wide-ranging reference base, and a consistent emphasis on thoughtful, lightly opinionated discourse... more
