Great podcast. I’ve mainly been listening to the ‘traditional’ episodes so far, such as the extended interview with John Francis Flynn. Listening tonight to the first episode of New Music in 2021 and getting introduced to fabulous albums like
‘The Heart Pumps Kool-Aid’, which I paused the podcast to listen to on Bandcamp.
Donal has been keeping the fire burning for years now. Long may it continue.
Best deep dive of music I’ve encountered in a while. Feel like sometimes these type of broadcast try to find the most obscure, almost non musical songs, to show off to whoever.. This is actually an eclectic mix of music you can listen to, dance to, grove with. Particularly love the music deep dive in DRC, South Africa, and Ghana. And the new Irish music.
This could only be improved by being on public radio where it could once again offer consistent reliable quality - where life would have a chance again to settle and slot in around those comforting sounds of the familiar and the new....
