I listen to a lot of video game news podcasts but the vast majority of them are hosted by straight, white cis men. I thought it’d be nice to hear discussions from the perspective of people like me (queer poc) and this podcast gave me exactly that! It’s just so great to hear people talk about video games and the industry but through a queer lens and I’m just so happy to have discovered this podcast. Keep up the great work, henny!
These Magical Boys alwyas keep me laughing and quickly became my favorite podcast about video games, anime, and other nerd stuff. I love hearing their perspectives on every topic, but their video game discussions are my favorite and I haven't found a gaming podcast I like more!
Rueben & DJ are your go-to source for anything related to anime and/or video games and are an absolute delight to listen to!
I listen to a lot of video game/anime podcasts and this is by far my favorite. DJ and Reuben bring a fresh take to media while also engaging in vital discussions that challenge and rightfully critique the content. As a bonus - they’re hilarious. Definitely try this out if you’re looking for timely and important conversations surrounding video games and anime.
DJ and Rueben are such great guys to listen to. I enjoy their hearty laughs and banter on all things anime and video games. This show is so important to me because it makes me feel like I am welcome in those “nerd” spaces typically just for straight white guys.
