Bregman for 15 million a year? Bruh. Please don’t get the most recent 1st time guest on who has no clue. Embarrassing to your brand.
I fancy myself someone who likes dialoguing baseball as a method of resting my mind from considering other items of deep consequence. I find it refreshing that the hosts of this podcast seem to look at Mariners fandom through a similar lens. They are well-spoken, insightful, precise thinkers and jokers who treat their idioms with care, don’t mix their metaphors, and apply worldly and empathetic dispositions to their discussion of good ol’ baseball. I consider these cool kids to be magnitudes mor... more
Revolving cast. A couple of the guys are fun and knowledgeable. Main host and then the women are the most annoying and high and mighty. Go to marine layer or literally any other mariners podcast.
I previously wrote negatively about Kate because she has some takes that are so out there and biased and she chooses to die on some hills that I just cannot get behind. However, she has established herself as the comedic legs of this podcast, and I very much appreciate her humor. I still cannot stand how slow of a slow talker John is though. Physically painful to endure. I’m sorry, he is otherwise great, but I just can’t with that guy.
This podcast has potential to be really great but it’s a toss up as to what you get, depending on the week.
Some hosts are great and offer good insight, while others are practically unlistenable. No one wants to hear long drawn out metaphors about nonsense. Just get to the point.
Oftentimes the audio is really bad. Obviously it’s low budget, but sometimes it sounds like someone is recording through a 2008 iPod headphone mic while on the bottom of the ocean in the Titan Submersible.
