  • Great listen for budget filmmakers!

Nigel is amazing! Besides bringing knowledge, experience and great guests to the podcast, he also shows patience and understanding in helping budget filmmakers. Super smart and yet really humble. Did I mention that he’s accessible? Somewhat rare with experienced YouTuber’s these days. He always answers Patreon questions each month and his Patreon membership is budget friendly. He answers YouTube community questions and polls on IG. Needless to say…highly recommended!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP81: Directing a short film, skateboarding & cinematography w/ Matt Aitia
Q: How was it like stepping away from the cinematography role?
It's still something I'm trying to figure out, but I found directing fulfilling because it allowed me to focus on the story.
EP81: Directing a short film, skateboarding & cinematography w/ Matt Aitia
Q: What was the thing that prompted you to start a YouTube channel?
My friend, Daniel Schiffer, encouraged me to start posting on YouTube.
EP80: Am I switching BACK to micro 4/3 in 2026?
Q: How do you advise starting a channel to manage workload and burnout?
Set realistic goals for yourself. Don't overcommit; be honest about what you can actually achieve, and it's okay to take breaks when needed.
EP80: Am I switching BACK to micro 4/3 in 2026?
Q: If you were starting a YouTube channel from scratch today, what would your strategy be for a niche?
It would have to be something that I already had interest in or experience in because you have to be passionate about what you're talking about to build an audience.
EP80: Am I switching BACK to micro 4/3 in 2026?
Q: I'm curious if you've noticed a decline in interest from viewers in the Micro Four Thirds system in the last few years. What do you think?
I've seen those videos about Micro Four Thirds starting to decline a little bit in views because a lot of people have switched, but any content about a Micro Four Thirds camera still gets a good response from my established viewer base.
