  • Great listen for budget filmmakers!

Nigel is amazing! Besides bringing knowledge, experience and great guests to the podcast, he also shows patience and understanding in helping budget filmmakers. Super smart and yet really humble. Did I mention that he’s accessible? Somewhat rare with experienced YouTuber’s these days. He always answers Patreon questions each month and his Patreon membership is budget friendly. He answers YouTube community questions and polls on IG. Needless to say…highly recommended!

L-Mount cameras, MFT lenses, years on Youtube & more!
Q: I'm curious about the S9. Personally, I think it's a steal for around 1K used. What are your thoughts?
I really do like this camera and think that it's good if you're wanting a B-cam; I definitely wouldn't necessarily get this as an A-cam if you're doing serious video stuff.
L-Mount cameras, MFT lenses, years on Youtube & more!
Q: Where do you feel the S9 sits in terms of target audience?
It kinda seems like the target audience for this camera when it came out was influencer, content creator types, maybe some photographers.
EP73: Sony FX2, full frame vs MFT & best SD cards
Q: What recording media do you recommend for the S5 IIX when recording high resolution, high frame rate modes?
I recommend Lexar V90 cards and using V60 cards generally works for most purposes, but may struggle with fast motion.
EP73: Sony FX2, full frame vs MFT & best SD cards
Q: Do you have any tips on getting the best out of this cam?
The GH3 is a legendary camera; look for my older videos on it for setups and tips.
Answering YOUR Lumix S1II questions w/ Dustin Armstrong
Q: How does it compare to Canon and Sony cameras of similar price ranges?
Dustin mentions that his experience shows the S1II performs on par or better than other cameras regarding overheating, especially in high-pressure filming environments.
