  • Love it boys. However, having the Celtics winning 42 is absurd. Brown, Prichard, White - and that talented bench. I had 51 52 easy, in this conference.

My point is most had them closer to 42. That's a 14 W swing. That's why I think Jaylen should have won MVP. Results vs expectations.

  • PLEASE ditch the all-caps titles

Longtime listener. No one works harder to put out timely Celtics content than John. Just one thing: Can you do away with the all caps clickbait episode titles? It feels like the New York Post and makes everything feel dumber. Legitimately has turned me away lately

Jaylen Brown Drama and Why Boston's Money Moves Were Important: Season Wrap with Sean Grande
Q: How should players and teams handle public comments to avoid PR missteps?

The takeaway is that carefully crafted messaging helps prevent narrative damage when public remarks are amplified by media.
Jaylen Brown Drama and Why Boston's Money Moves Were Important: Season Wrap with Sean Grande
Q: What were the main factors behind the Celtics' offseason payroll decisions and how did they affect team dynamics?
The decision-making was driven by balancing the tax implications, roster needs, and future flexibility, which some fans perceived as spending or saving. The discussion suggests the moves were about long-term sustainability and fit, not just short-term results, with critics often focusing on perception rather than the underlying financial mechanisms.
Mailbag: Joe Mazzulla's Mistakes, Offseason Wish List, Centers of the Future
Q: What do you think about the team's identity moving forward?
Identity will be defined around Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown, with the supporting cast determined by Neemias Queta, Derrick White's form, and how the bench players contribute; it will depend on additions that complement the stars and potentially adjust tempo and defensive emphasis.
Upset Brad Stevens on Jaylen Brown, Losing to Good Teams, Struggling with Prosperity
Q: Why can't the Celtics handle prosperity, and should they bring in someone to help manage high-pressure moments?
The hosts describe it as a recurring issue where the Celtics relax or defer too much to stars in critical moments, suggesting the need for a veteran presence or a different approach to keep the team focused and aggressive in playoff pressure.
BONUS Mailbag: Celtics-Sixers Adjustments, Worries, and Picking a Young Player to Keep
Q: Getting into the youth, the Utes. If you had to choose between Hugo Gonzalez, Jordan Walsh and Baylor Scheierman, who are you keeping factoring skill, potential and age?
The host picks Hugo Gonzalez as his top long-term fit due to age and upside, but notes that all three have value and that the decision depends on balance of development and immediate help, with a preference for keeping the youngest with high upside.
