  • Love it boys. However, having the Celtics winning 42 is absurd. Brown, Prichard, White - and that talented bench. I had 51 52 easy, in this conference.

My point is most had them closer to 42. That's a 14 W swing. That's why I think Jaylen should have won MVP. Results vs expectations.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

MISSING OUT? Should Boston Celtics go ALL IN for Giannis Antetokounmpo?
Q: Xander asks whether Boston is pursuing Giannis to include him in a three-team trade to add depth, or something similar.
The host suggests that even if Giannis isn't acquired, there could be value in using Boston as a hub for three-team deals that improve depth and salary mechanics, while still evaluating direct Giannis paths versus alternative targets like De'Anthony Melton? (Note: this line reflects a discussion about three-team trades and depth-building rather than a confirmed plan.)
MISSING OUT? Should Boston Celtics go ALL IN for Giannis Antetokounmpo?
Q: Brayden asks about the risk of trading Jaylen Brown for Giannis and whether it could backfire if the Celtics underperform next year.
The host argues that while Giannis is exceptional, the Celtics should consider the long-term implications, including the loss of a core piece and the difficulty of recapturing a championship window if health or fit falters, and emphasizes Brad Stevens's perceived bid-structure strategy to keep options open rather than a full, all-in swap.
Jaylen Brown ERA Ending? Brad Stevens DROPS Hints About Boston Celtics Plans
Q: Brad, is Jaylen Brown going to be on this team beginning of next season?
Brad Stevens replied that Brown remains a big part of the organization, but avoided a definite yes or no about his status next season, signaling openness to multiple paths while emphasizing the team's current positioning and ongoing relationship with Brown.
Jaylen Brown DISMISSED by Analytics Guy, Trade Rumors HEATING UP
Q: Is there a middle ground between keeping Brown and moving him for a superlative haul?
Yes, there can be a middle ground where the Celtics trade Brown for a combination of picks and players that fit around Tatum, potentially leveraging a traded player exception and salary matching to maintain competitiveness while addressing tax concerns.
Jaylen Brown DISMISSED by Analytics Guy, Trade Rumors HEATING UP
Q: If Desmond Bain fetched four first-round picks, shouldn't Brad be asking for the moon for JB?
Brad should aim high given Brown's upside and contract, but the actual offers depend on market dynamics, draft capital available, and the buyers' willingness to commit long-term. The host emphasizes negotiating with context, not just raw value, and notes that teams are unlikely to pay a historic moon-shot without a clear path to contending.
