The JBrown character and player assassination is really overdone and ridiculous. Not one word about soft Tatum’s shortcomings and inefficiency — clearly JBrown was the only problem with the chuck and duck Celtics. Just ridiculous…

  • “In terms of”

I like this show in terms of podcasts, but in terms of verbal tics, “in terms of” is driving me insane, in terms of mental health. Brian, you speak for a living, in terms of jobs. You need to get this addressed, in terms of becoming better at what you do. I am sorry to be snarky, in terms of negative comments.

  • Red Sox Takes

Love when Brian has Ian on from SoxProspects but when Brian is left to his own devices he ends up sounding like a broken record regarding the Sox and FSG. Guys talking about the Red Sox just being marginally better in 2026 when the offseason isn’t over yet. Sox need to spend more, I agree, but they need to spend with intent and locking up Alonso for 30 million a year for five years would’ve been a criminal use of resources considering he can’t play defense and we already have Masa who’s a sunk c... more

This would be a much better podcast if you left the “I’m smarter than the experts” comments out. Share the numbers u want but be smart enough to know that the numbers almost never (if ever) tell the whole story.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The First Day of NBA Free Agency With Brian Robb. Plus, Fireworks at Fenway.
Q: Joining us now from Mass Live, what's the latest you're hearing about the Celtics' asks in the Jaylen Brown negotiations?
There's a sense that teams aren't meeting the Celtics' asking price, which is two first-round picks and a young player, making it tough to complete a deal without a broader pivot or different leverage.
How the Pats Stack Up With the Rest of the AFC, With Mike Kadlick
Q: How is this all gonna work with the AJ Brown and Drake May pairing in New England?
Kadlick explains that Brown would act as a multiple-position mismatch creator, allowing May to read defenses and optimize the offense, with the rest of the depth at receiver helping diversify the attack.
Will the Finals Have an Impact on the Celtics' Offseason? Plus, the Patriots Open Minicamp.
Q: What is the Celtics' biggest hurdle to repeating or getting back to the Finals?
The panel argues that the combination of an evolving CBA, injuries, and the need to add a third credible creator or shot-maker around Tatum and Brown are the main blockers, with a focus on acquiring depth and versatility to sustain a long playoff run.
A Rare Good Week for the Sox With Chris Cotillo
Q: Welcome back into Off The Pike. Joining us now from MassLive, the Fenway Rundown podcast, it is Chris Cotillo. Cotillo, what's going on, man?

Do the Celtics Need a Major Shake-Up? With Adam Kaufman.
