  • Some good, most bad

There are times when what he says makes sense and isn’t all that bad. The cross overs are the best episodes. Unfortunately that isn’t most of the time. It’s filled with simple “fan” like thoughts. Hardly any actual deep thinking into what is happening and why. Lots of addressing fake or bad rumors and running with the possibility of them being real. If you want to listen to the average fan, listen. If you want more actual in depth, go elsewhere. I still listen, but often end early due to smooth ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Dillion Thieneman was best pick for Chicago Bears and perfect fit in Dennis Allen’s defense
Q: Were there anxious moments as the board got close to the Bears' pick?
Yes, there were moments of uncertainty and debate, but the Bears believed Thieneman fit their plan and were comfortable taking him when he was available, supported by a robust mock-draft process.
Chicago Bears neglect edge rusher and defensive line in NFL Draft, leaving biggest weakness unsolved
Q: You and Ryan both were pretty open all off season about needing pass rush improvement. The fact that you didn't sign a big name one in pre-agency, you didn't draft an edge rusher. How is it going to get better with the same guys who were out there last year?
The coach responds that they will coach better, rely on the trajectory of players who finished the season on IR, and expect growth from existing edge players, while emphasizing faith in the current squad and improvements in coaching rather than chasing marquee names.
BREAKING: Chicago Bears Select Logon Jones 57th Overall | Bears Add PROTECTION For Caleb Williams
Q: Are there macro considerations about the team's offensive line development that could influence whether this pick makes sense in the short term?
The team aims to maximize cohesion between the line and the quarterback early, so having a center connected to the offense from the start is valuable, even if the exact Week 1 starter is still up in the air.
BREAKING: Chicago Bears Select Logon Jones 57th Overall | Bears Add PROTECTION For Caleb Williams
Q: Where do you see the direction for the Bears at center, and how might Logon Jones fit into a potential competition for Week 1?
Jones could be a year-one contributor if he wins the starting job, but the path is complicated by the veteran they traded for and the ongoing competition that could linger into training camp; his tape suggests potential, but the transition to NFL level strength and technique will be critical.
BREAKING: Chicago Bears Select Logon Jones 57th Overall | Bears Add PROTECTION For Caleb Williams
Q: With the departure of Drew Dalman and the addition of Gary Bradbury, did you expect the Bears to still look to secure a center in the draft?
Yes, there was some expectation they'd address center in the draft, especially to add young depth behind the veteran presence and attempt to maximize cohesion with Caleb Williams.
