I’m someone who is prescribed stimulants for ADHD and use them only as prescribed, but would like to get off of them and learn to function again without them. So I am not in denial about the negative effects of long-term dependence on these meds and I don’t agree with the societal messaging that those of us with ADHD “need” to be on these to be “normal”.
