  • The best LinkedIn podcast ever

I’ve listened to this podcast for many years, going all the way back to the LinkedInformed days with Mark Williams.

In my opinion, there is simply no better podcast about LinkedIn.

It is honest, practical, sharp and always worth listening to. The show goes far beyond the usual quick tips and gives real insight into how LinkedIn works, what actually matters, and how professionals can use the platform in a smarter and more human way.

As someone who works professionally with LinkedIn, I keep com... more

  • Relentlessly useful / quick and clean

John has a thorough knowledge of LinkedIn and one day a week he gives us short bits of useful and relevant LinkedIn knowledge. If you’re looking to up your LinkedIn presence listen to him for 10 to 15 minutes a week. (Or binge listen, as some of us do when we’re not up-to-date.)

  • My favourite LinkedIn podcast

LinkedIn is the most important B2B social media platform. So you need to know how to work it effectively, whether you want to find a job, grow your brand or generate more sales. You need to understand best practises. You need someone with your best interests at heart. That is why I follow John Espirian on LinkedIn, attend his Uplift Live annual event and follow his new podcast “Informed: The podcast for LinkedIn users.”

  • John is great!

I hadn’t listened to the Informed podcast in the past, but when I learned that John Espirian was the new host, I had to check it out. I appreciate John’s professionalism, LinkedIn knowledge and melodic voice, three qualities that abound in the Informed podcast episodes I have listened to so far. Looking forward to more!

  • Long-winded

Great podcast, but could - and should - be condensed into a more pithy 30 minutes. If you’re taking LinkedIn seriously, you’re too busy for waffle.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

491. AI slop and glitches on LinkedIn
Q: What are the best practices for posting and engagement timing, particularly around first comments and including links?
The host advises avoiding being the first commenter on your own post, prioritizing early engagement from others, placing links in the post rather than comments to improve visibility, and avoiding links in early comments since algorithms may deprioritize them; also suggests editing the post to add missing information rather than relying on a first-comment PS.
491. AI slop and glitches on LinkedIn
Q: The host asks about the value of LinkedIn newsletters after a period of lower visibility, especially for those publishing long-form content.
The guest (host) explains that while engagement for newsletters may dip in the short term, long-form content remains indexable by search engines, helping long-term discovery and content estate building, and notes that newsletters can still be valuable for building authority and ongoing visibility.
487. Current jobs market stats
Q: What does the Grad's Guide 2026 say about entry-level hiring trends?
It reports a 6% year-over-year drop in entry-level hiring and a 10% drop in mid-level hiring, suggesting a shift in early-career opportunities.
482. User interface glitches
Q: What insights do you have on the coming AI and localisation features on LinkedIn and how should listeners prepare?
Watch for signals that translation or AI-assisted features are being tested, consider how these could affect profile visibility and content authenticity, and stay adaptable by creating content that remains valuable across languages and formats.
482. User interface glitches
Q: How can individuals curate their feed to see more of the content they want and reduce negative interactions on LinkedIn?
Be deliberate about who you connect with, actively unfollow or disconnect from consistently negative accounts, send more direct messages to people whose content you enjoy, and use notification features to follow creators you want to see more of.
